All vehicles are propelled by the engine, however this automotive component does more than allow you to drive forward.
The right engine can also provide a smooth and powerful ride, and that’s exactly what you’ll find inside of the Jeep Wrangler. With five unique engines to choose from, there’s something for everyone. At the base level, drivers can experience a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine, complete with 285 horsepower.
As for the Bronco, you’ll have the option of just two engines—a 2.3L and a 2.7L—neither of which come close to the engines offered in the Wrangler. Ford’s base engine is a 2.3 EcoBoost® and only generates 270 horsepower.
If you’d like just a bit more force, upgrade your Wrangler to a 3.0 EcoDiesel engine and experience the thrill of 442 horsepower. Those who choose to upgrade their Bronco to a 2.7L EcoBoost® engine get a boost, as well. However, it’s significantly less, with just 400 horsepower. Plus, Ford does not offer any diesel options, unfortunately.

There’s no mistaking the off-roading capabilities of both the Bronco and the Wrangler. They were each designed with adventure in mind, and it shows throughout their abundance of capability and storage features. Still, only one SUV can come out on top here. Which will it be?
No off-roading trip is complete without the right gear. Luckily, Jeep offers an exclusive cargo system filled with flexible storage options. The optional Trail Rail™ System securely stores items in the rear of your vehicle, while the available Jeep Utility Grid is ideal for storing smaller items. The Wrangler also features a removeable cargo floor, which can be used to discreetly store valuables and keep them out of view.
As for the Bronco, both the Trail Rail™ System and Jeep Utility Grid are exclusive to Jeep vehicles, so Bronco drivers won’t find them inside of their vehicles.

From intuitive infotainment systems to handy exterior designs, the Jeep Wrangler makes navigating all of life’s twists and turns a breeze.
Speaking of breezes, both the Wrangler and Bronco are loved for their open-air driving options. To make roofless and windowless driving more manageable, the Jeep Wrangler features a fold-down windshield. When combined with the available Sky One-Touch™ Power Top and removeable doors, you’re in control of how much open space to be exposed to.
While the Ford Bronco does offer removable roof and door options, it sadly doesn’t allow for a foldable windshield.
Here’s another handy perk of driving the Jeep Wrangler: Amazon Alexa integration. Using your Amazon Alexa device, you can check your vehicle’s fuel levels, send destination information, and even remotely start your Wrangler. The Bronco does not offer any Amazon Alexa integration.
